Company makes wide variety of metal products

FCM Products takes its name from what it does: “Fabricators of Custom Metal Products.”
The company is owned and operated by Bruce Brooks* and Pat Fink.
It was started in March 1987.
Their original plan was to concentrate on the truck equipment and metal cabinet business, but as time went by they became more involved in the construction end of things – paper mills, hospitals, tire companies and other industrial and commercial buildings.
What separates FCM from other companies?
As is true with any purchase a person would make, what is looked for is the highest quality product at the most affordable price.
That is what FCM incorporates within its company’s philosophy.
“Most manufacturing facilities cannot afford unplanned maintenance problems,” Brooks said. “That’s where FCM comes in.”
The owners and employees feel a dedication and commitment to providing the community and surrounding areas with the highest quality products at the most affordable prices.
If the manufactured product is built and installed properly, this will result in less down time, which in turn produces higher productivity and ultimately greater profit.
When quality is put first, both the customer and the manufacturer can take pride in it.
The Occupational and Safety Health Administration (OSHA) has taken a keen interest in the health and safety of company employees.
This is another avenue that FCM has pursued by designing, building and installing machinery guards to meet OSHA requirements.
These guards are safe, easy to access, durable and attractive.
Right in line with this, FCM Products was awarded a two-year contract to design, manufacture and install platforms, ladders and stairways for one of the paper mills.
These too met OSHA requirements.
FCM’s capabilities cover a broad spectrum, from manufacturing heavy plate and structural items to lighter gauge materials, control cabinets and consoles, all sorts of metal boxes, carts, racks, air handling housings, ventilation pipe, wood chip screening equipment, conveyors, various types of tanks, air conditioning duct work, flashing, almost anything that can be fabricated from carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel and other metals.
The company’s home is an attractive building on the service road along the west side of Loop 245 at the Highway 82 East intersection in the Texarkana, Ark., Industrial Park.
The phone number is (870) 773-0138 and the fax number is (870) 772-5677. The hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
They also have a field crew trained to adapt to almost any kind of work environment and qualified to do portable welding, field fabrication, installation and erection.
FCM also specializes in handling emergency and rush projects.
